Membership Privacy Statement
The Maize Genetics Cooperation (MGC) is committed to protecting the privacy of our members and providing a safe online experience. This Privacy Statement applies to data collected by this site in conjunction with your MGC membership request. The statement has been adapted from the privacy statement of the North American Plant Phenotyping Network (NAPPN).
Collection of your Personal Information
MGC and the affiliated services (see below for more information) collects personally identifiable information, such as your email address, name, home or work address, or telephone number for communication purposes. The MGC and the affiliated services (see below for more information) also automatically collects information about your computer hardware and software. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, and referring website addresses. This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of this site.
MGC encourages you to review the privacy statements of websites used to provide services to you through our website so you can understand how those websites collect, use, and share your information. MGC is not responsible for the privacy statements or content on websites outside of the MGC family of websites.
Use of your Personal Information
Your personal information is collected by MGC to deliver the services you have requested, including processing your membership request. MGC may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered. MGC will not sell, rent or lease its membership lists to third parties.
