DII DII-VENUS-NLS

See the complete record for DII DII-VENUS-NLS.

Notes:
minimum region required for its auxin-mediated degradation; DII region of the IAA responsive protein
Different AUX/IAA proteins share a highly conserved region called domain II (DII), or degron, which is the minimum region required for its auxin-mediated degradation. The translational fusion of the DII region of the IAA responsive protein AtIAA28 with the yellow fluorescent protein VENUS and a nuclear localization signal (NLS) has been used as a sensitive and quantitative auxin responsive reporter in Arabidopsis. DII degradation dynamics are influenced both by auxin accumulation and TIR1/AFB concentration. Differences in DII signal reflect differences in input signal into the auxin signaling pathway. When the F-box coreceptors are uniformly distributed, variations in DII fluorescence intensity can be indicative of differences in auxin concentration (Mir et al., 2016)

Notes:
The cysH gene of E. coli encodes PAPR, a protein of 244 amino acid residues that uses 3'-phosphoadenosine 5'-phosphosulphate (PAPS) as a substrate.
Transgenic leaf-specific expression in maize results in higher methionine accumulation in seeds. The transgenic kernels have higher expression of the methionine-rich 10-kDa δ-zein and total protein sulfur without reduction of other zeins (Planta et al., 2017).

PsASGR-BBML Pennisetum squamulatum Apospory-Specific Genomic Region-BBML

See the complete record for PsASGR-BBML Pennisetum squamulatum Apospory-Specific Genomic Region-BBML.

Notes:
In apomictic P. squamulatum, PsASGR-BBML is expressed in ovaries prior to fertilization, in developing seed, roots and anthers. Sexual pearl millet transgenic lines containing a PsASGR-BBML promoter-GUS fusion localized the expression of GUS in ovaries to the egg apparatus of the sexual embryo sac prior to fertilization and in developing embryos. A PsASGR-BBML transgene was used to promote parthenogenesis and the creation of haploid embryo production in sexual pearl millet plants.
PsASGR-BBML shares domain similarity to the large family of AP2 transcription factors. PsASGR-BBML is most similar to the BBM-like group within the euANT lineage of the AP2 family
can promote parthenogenesis and haploid offspring production in the monocot crops rice and maize

Gene Products:
  apetala2 transcription factor-like

WPGD1 Waxy1 chloroplast targeting the peptide coding sequence - pgd1

See the complete record for WPGD1 Waxy1 chloroplast targeting the peptide coding sequence - pgd1.

Notes:
targeted heat-stable 6PGDH to endosperm amyloplasts by fusing the Waxy1 chloroplast targeting the peptide coding sequence to the Pgd1 open reading frame
complements the pgd3-defective kernel phenotype, indicating the fusion proteins are targeted to the amyloplast
In the field, can mitigate grain yield losses in highnighttime-temperature conditions by increasing kernel number
